BIOGRAPHY
PAVEL ŠMÍD (*1964) is a Czech painter. He has a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He started with graphics and collage, later, he went over to the paint. He elaborates in cycle topics such as “The Gardener`s year” (Zahradníkův rok) or “Little Dramas” (Malá dramata). After his period of paraphrasing the classical topics full of humour, he prefers pure paint based on nature, theatre, or the current world of media. He works as a photographer as well.
