DALINEUM PALACE OF ART

MIRO Gallery’s new project – working title: DALINEUM PALACE OF ART

Architect: Daniel Libeskind, New York, designer of the Freedom Tower at the site where the Twin Towers once stood (Ground Zero).

“Although it is a complicated and complex structure, it only uses simple geometric forms and lines. The basic concept is the transformation of a circle into a square and back into a circle, three-dimensionally of course. Not a single storey has the same floor plan.” Daniel Libeskind, architect

What is planned for each floor of the palace?

  • Art repository
  • Concert and theatre hall – approx. 500 seats (Black Theatre – Laterna magika – regular shows – “enlivened” with Surrealist paintings by Salvador Dalí)
  • Cinema – est. 100 seats
  • Several restaurants (featuring different countries’ cuisines)
  • “Dalí and Surrealism” art shop and retail space for lease
  • Permanent exhibition of Salvador Dalí’s art (between 1,000 and 1,500 exhibits, in cooperation with partners from France, Germany and Spain)
  • “Kunsthalle” for exhibitions, trade fairs and corporate presentations
  • Small private galleries
  • Office space for commercial use
  • Museum of art collectors, in cooperation with Galerie Michael Haas in Berlin
  • Museum of Miniatures, modelled on and in cooperation with the Museum of Miniatures in Prague
  • Hotel section on the top floor and suites
  • Garage parking for commercial use
