BIOGRAPHY
BARBORA KYSILKOVÁ (*1983) is a Czech artist working in Berlin. When looking for the best painting techniques to express what she wanted to say, the artist began to focus on figurative oil painting with a deep conviction, seeking inspiration in the reality she did not want to move away from. “I enjoy what we live in and don’t need to look elsewhere.”
In 2011 she held her first solo exhibition at Prague’s MIRO Gallery, where visitors could see her paintings which evoke curiosity, excitement, anxiety, terror, fascination or a little quiver of restlessness. The exhibition “Thou art – Ty jsi” captured hyper-realistic moments of everyday life.
