BIOGRAPHY

Míla Fürstová (*1975) is internationally renowned Czech artist living in the UK. She studied at Charles University in Prague, University of Gloucestershire and the Royal College of Art in London. Her work has become part of important private and public collections, including that of Queen Elizabeth II and the V&A Museum in London. She works with a medium of etching. Typical is multidimensionality, created by cutting, folding and overlapping the works, often printing on glass or other transparent surfaces. The work is often poetic, creates intimate portrait of a human soul from the perspective of a female.
